What is the most challenging thing you have ever had to do for your job? This could be your current job or your past job? One of my students once told me that the most challenging thing he had to do with his job was just to get up in the morning and go to it. He hated his job and was taking English lessons so that he could find a new job as quickly as possible. I thought that was both tragic and funny at the same time. And a little bit triste.
Because I could totally relate. I have also had jobs which I did not feel very motivated to get up in the morning for. And nothing is worse than feeling this way about your work. We both laughed when he said that but I think it would be incredibly challenging for anybody to have to continue in a job that was no longer fulfilling them on a professional level. It is important to love your job and to enjoy your work and to be motivated to get up in the morning and be eager to get to it.

What about you? What is the most challenging thing you have ever had to do for your job? I would love to discuss this with you at one of our meetings. Contact us today if you are interested in taking one of our BUSINESS ENGLISH PARIS conversation rendez-vous.
